I book bands to perform during our pre and post game shows in the Fan
Plaza for many of our Braves games and Sons of Sailors ended up
being one of the best we had all year long. They were easy to work with
and the fans truly enjoyed the show! Great sound… great guys.

Sons of Sailors is a professional band: they're easy to work with,
they're punctual, and they know how to work a crowd. Their musicianship
is what you would expect from such pros...excellent! Their June 26th show
at Ashford Manor Concerts on the Lawn was a great success, and we hope
to have them back next year! |

My name is Gary Potter - I live in Watkinsville, GA and went to a concert
on the lawn at Ashford Manor Monday night (7/21/08). While at the Monday
concert, I found out about a Jimmy Buffett Cover Band, Sons of Sailors,
that would be playing the upcoming Sat. 7/26/08 (a charity event). Being
a Parrothead, I Googled the band, and listened to several of their videos...
Wow! Awesome! They actually sounded good - vocals included. Most Buffett
Cover Bands don't get the vocals down. While walking into the venue, I
passed a few more Parrotheads and told them what I had found out about
the band and just prayed they would live up to my hype. They did. From
the stage, Tony mentioned they would be in Athens again on Oct.10th at
another venue-----I'll be there! |

Sons of Sailors are by far one of the easiest names to see on
an upcoming show list, from a promoter's standpoint - They draw big and
they deserve it, too! They can turn even the rainiest, coldest night into
a shining beach, where everyone is happy, and everyone is singing. Jimmy Buffett could likely sue these guys for identity theft, Sons
Of Sailors are that good! Few acts can turn the Melting Point into a PARTY as quickly, and effortlessly
as Sons of Sailors...I have heard more people ask for them to come
back to the venue than any other band...and that's why we book 'em. People
like to PARTY! If every Jimmy Buffett cover band were as good as Sons of Sailors,
there would be peace on earth! |
